Meet Our Classes

At Little Poppy's we strive to create a safe and nurturing learning environment for each and every child that comes through our doors. One way we ensure safety is by keeping our teacher to student ratios low. that is why, during our morning sessions the children divide into four different class groups to ensure small group sizes while we are learning and explorinng. This allows each teacher to give each child the one on one attention they deserve to have their needs met and to ensure their success!

Assessment

Here at Little Poppy's Preschool we believe children have their entire lives to learn. That is why, to ensure your child’s success in the classroom our team puts much thought into each individual child’s readiness to move up to the next class. We like to expand the “window of time” during which children move up and focus more on issues of readiness than on chronology. This applies to the transition between every class. Each teacher reassess every three months to see if there are any children in that class that are ready to move up to the next class to continue building on what they are learning while also building new skills appropriate for where they are at in their development.
