Who Are We?

A Note from the Stem and Blossom Teacher:
This preschool is unlike any other you've seen before. I have Owned and Operated my business for the past 41+ years here in Clackamas Counrty as a Oregon State Certified Child Care Provider who is now transitioned into a Private Preschool. Now, along with my two Daughters we have evolved into Little Poppy's Preschool. 

Together we have joined forces to create a welcoming, encouraging, and safe environment to ensure you and your preschooler have a fantastic beginning to their classroom experience. Little Poppy's uses a child centered approach. Our focus is on creating opportunities for children to use their natural curiosity to lead them through discovery, imagination, questinoing, learning, and growing. 

We keep our days semi structured to allow for exploration, socialization, and development of language skills. We prepare children to excell in kindergarten with a solid educational foundation.  Children who have participated in our programs are thriving in elementary school and beyond. 

We believe children have their whole lives to learn, and they should be curious and excited to learn something new. We want to give children a great start in life by providing a safe, nuturing, and trusting environment. Our goal is to create an environment that makes kids want to run up to the door and never want to leave when the school bell rings. 




A Note from the Seedling and Sprout Teacher:
I grew up with my mother owning a childcare, so in a way I have my entire life's experience. Once I was old enough to actually be of help in the daycare I was there every chance I got. I love working with children. I love getting to know children. I love hearing their stories, and seeing their faces light up as they discover something new. I have earned my degree in early childhood education, and have six years experience on the job. I am ranked a step seven with the Oregon State Childcare Division. I am looking forward to this chapter in my life teaching the Seedlings and Sprouts at Little Poppy's Preschool, and I am looking forward to helping your preschooler start their journey of learning and discovering new things.



A Note from Our Music Teacher:
After 15 years of childcare experience, I am thrilled to be a part of Little Poppy's Preschool. I was a registered childcare provider in the state of Oregon for 10 years. When the pandemic started in 2020 I closed my business, but continued in childcare. I am ranked step four with the Early Childcare Division.
I have loved being the music teacher at Little Poppy's. In music we explore sound through dance, singing, instruments, and more! I believe children need a safe and encouraging environment to thrive. I believe that we have accomplished this and much more at Little Poppy's Preschool. I look forward to meeting and working with your little one.
